Student Leadership Graduate Intern

Student Leadership Graduate Intern Position Description 

Job Summary
The Student Leadership Graduate Intern will support the activities of the Office of Student Organizations,Leadership and Engagement. This is a time-limited position at 15 hours/week at $15.00 per hour. The internship runs from August 22, 2022 through May 22, 2023 with a three-week winter break for a total of 37 weeks. 
Interns must be admitted to or be enrolled in the Master’s of Organizational Leadership program in the 2022-2023 Academic Year.  Students will receive a tuition stipend of $1,500 per semester, for the academic year. In addition, Muhlenberg graduates who are eligible to live on campus while in graduate school will receive a 20% percent housing discount for the academic year. Mulhenberg alumni also receive 15 % on graduate tuition starting Summer 2022. 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a leadership curriculum and associated trainings and events for Muhlenberg College student leaders
  • Coordinate the Fraternity and Sorority Life President Academy
  • Assist Fraternity and Sorority chapters with the leadership accreditation process
  • Become a trained facilitator for restorative practices
  • Establish restorative practice workshops and initiatives with a leadership focus
  • Develop new and innovative portfolio of experiential leadership programs
  • Create assessment tools to evaluate student leadership development
  • Attend relevant weekly meetings 
  • Assist with the planning of student organization award banquet program
  • Provide support for SOLE programming, as needed
Qualifications:
 
Current enrollment in Muhlenberg College’s Master’s in Organizational Leadership 
Open to current or newly accepted FT graduate students Should display the following Skills and Abilities: 
  • Strong leadership abilities 
  • An awareness of theories and practices in leadership   
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.  
  • High comfort level in interacting and forming working relationships with college staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Commitment to student success, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Demonstration of sound judgment and problem-solving. 
  • Ability to plan work, set objectives, and adhere to deadlines. 
  • Initiative to develop new skills and learn new subject content.
